What is the significance of the Teletubbies story told by Jimmy in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple?

In 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026), the gang of "Jimmies" led by Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell) invade a house of survivors. During the scene, he's in the middle of recounting what seems to be a Teletubbies episode (his fondness for the show was established earlier in 28 Years Later (2025)):

Tinky-Winky would go nowhere without his bag. Nowhere. But for this one occasion. And, of course, you saw it coming.
Uh, Tinky-Winky decided to come back.
And found that Laa-Laa and Po had not only lost one of the apples...
...but they'd lost the entire fucking bag.

As someone unfamiliar with Teletubbies, I feel like I might be missing some context here. Does this story hold any particular significance that Teletubbies fans would recognize?

Top Answer/Comment:

Comment: No. It's not a real teletubbies story. They don't contain conflict like that
