So I have a 128 GB Memorex drive i bought from walmart years ago. Its been working fine, i can transfer files and back fine. But i cant get live media working all the sudden. It just hangs on the booting screen after i select try or install ubuntu. its not just a ubuntu thing for me. same on kubuntu. ive tried it multiple different times and still no. some help on how to fix this. I'm on a Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-5700 NH.QESAA.004. Live was booting before though. but now no. it seems to suceed but never open the gui. (verified them also)

Comment: 1. If the ISOs are corrupt - have you verified them? - then the resulting media will not work, this has nothing to do with the physical drive. 2. If the ISOs are fine there can still be problems that have nothing to do with the media or the installers; the presence of certain hardware may lead to hang ups (e.g. Nvidia graphics) in which case you should try the "safe graphics" option before anything else, have you?
