I'm trying to identify a dark European movie about experimentation on cats. I first heard of this on a YouTube video about disturbing animated films not intended for children. It was likely a French production, probably released in either the 70s or early 80s.
In it, stray cats in a city were captured and subjected to cruel experiments; I think at least some managed to escape. The footage I did see was gory/explicit enough to be unsettling to most people. Lastly, it had a one-word title in French.
