The movie is a color 1950's or 60's comedy. One scene has the male actor accosted by several young ladies in a store. He manages to fight them off.
Later, in another location, the same group assails the male actor, tearing off his jacket, shirt, and tie as souvenirs, leaving him naked from the waist up and totally bewildered.
The scene is similar to the Professor's dream sequence in the Gilligan's Island episode "St. Gilligan and the Dragon". It is not the Tony Randall Movie "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?". It is not "Singing In The Rain". I saw this movie when I was a young kid.
